Day By Day

Day By Day Album by Rob LambertDay By Day is an instrumental album in progress started in early June 2007. The image to the left is the tentative cover and the image to the right is the tentative back (CD tray). Day By Day Album Back Cover by Rob LambertI named most of the songs after the time and day that I wrote and recorded each track (for example “Friday Evening” and “Tuesday Morning”) and thus the title of the collection is going to be “Day by Day”. Most songs are instrumentals, listening to them I think that they are about monotony and depression with pockets of sunshine and hope. Not that I am heavily depressed or anything, the tracks just sound ...

Holidaze

Holidaze - Cowboy RobI wrote this little novelty country Christmas song in 1999. If I could make a good recording of this, I bet that it would be destined to be a classic!

144 (the Album)

144 inside and outside coverExtremely lo-fi recording that I did in 1999 under the moniker "Rob-Bob" (college era nickname). Most of this was recorded on a really crappy NEC laptop using the built-in microphone or an awesome Pentium I Packard Bell desktop using an $8 Adaptec microphone. Only the best for me! You can read about each song by clicking each of the links below. You can play each song on the those pages, or go to the 144 Album Page on Virb to listen in a more convenient format.

SQL Song

sql.jpgProbably the geekiest song I've ever done. For non-geeks, SQL is "Structured Query Language" which is the language used to work directly with relational databases. This song is written in psuedo-SQL: the words approximate the standard statements that you might issue to a database, but I am talking about a night of drinking.
