In Chicago, folks tend to think that they “own” parking spots in the street if they dig their car out of the snow. This is communicated by blocking the spot with lawn furniture, boxes, saw horses, you name it. I am not sure when the “owning” expires. I guess you own it until the snow melts. Silly people.
