I saw this photo today on Yahoo Most Popular photos:
The first thing that I thought of was the Challenger explosion photos from 1986. You know, images like this:
Well, when I clicked on the photo I was further confused when I saw that it was a NASA photo. Actually, the first image shows what a team of NASA and university scientists say is clear evidence that extensive areas of snow melted in west Antarctica in January 2005 in response to warm temperatures. Bummer.
Weird. No real point to this other than to point out two cool photos of very different destructive situations.
