Jason Alexander is George
A couple weeks ago, Jason Alexander was on Real Time with Bill Maher. Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) accidentally addressed Jason as “George” in a mildly heated exchange. Jason took it in stride and said that it happens all of the time and they both laughed and Rep. Kingston apologized.
I mentioned to Mary that I could see myself calling any of the four main Seinfeld actors their characters' names if I was hanging out with one of them. Then I corrected myself and said “well at least three of them”, because Jerry is Jerry. Even if I mentally pictured “Jerry the character” when addressing “Jerry the actual comedian”, I don't think that he'd notice or mind.
If Jason was on the ball, he should have got into character and responded with “yeah, well the jerk store called and they're all out of you!” or another Georgish retort.
